Wanted not Wasted

A free counselling service for children aged 5 to 18 years who live in Weston-super-Mare.

We run the WOW Shop on the Bournville, a place for children to have fun, play games, cook, do craft and also talk with friends and youth workers.

We aim to first meet children’s practical needs by providing food, warmth and safety, and then help them to address their emotional and behavioural difficulties by providing them with someone to talk to and work with them on issues. Once children have felt safe and reached a sense of stability, we have aim to help them to identify talents and interests and so develop aspirations for the future.
